Pass the Mic: Letting Marginalized Communities Speak for Themselves
This workshop will focus on the heart of ethical humanism- which is affirming the equal dignity and worth of all people. Being human, together. And, specifically, being human with severely demonized, cruelly marginalized, and unjustly dehumanized people. We must absolutely revere them for the value that knowledge of their rich experiences holds, and to allow them to reclaim their humanity, one step at a time. We must always give them an opportunity to speak, rather than stepping out and speaking on their behalves. This workshop will be about how we can help marginalized people reclaim their own voices.
