Yaaaay! I have family in Springfield, so attending may actually be possible for me! The hard part is telling them why I'm in town...

Funny -- it's so hard to come up with something *indisputably* innocuous! I suppose even kitties aren't foolproof. Maybe we'll get attacked by the "Kitties are Satan Crusade" or "Jihad against the Great Evil Kitties." (In any case, as a donor, I love this project and anything the group comes up with will be fine with me. Full steam ahead.)

It's only important in the sense that we don't want backlash saying how atheists must be stupid if they don't know the difference between a kitten and a cat. The billboard is about displaying minimal controversy, so "kitties" would be better ... and, I argue, an even cuter word.

The point of my post was that the image didn't obviously match the text. I'm not arguing for the image to be changed to one of the others. The reason I suggested remaking the image was that the original concept was baby animals. Since that is out of the question, please change the text to "Kitties are cute."

The photo was chosen by popular vote. If you'd like to see the second photo (which received the second greatest number of votes) on a similar billboard, please consider making a donation.

On another note, I have absolutely no idea how old the kitty is - could be a 10-month kitten, could be an 18-month cat. I suppose we could change the line to "Kitties are cute," but I'm not sure how important that really is.

Those aren't kittens. Actually, that looks like one fully grown cat in three holes photoshopped side by side. It would be great if the photo could be redone with kittens though; I like the idea, just not the execution.

I think the point of it was to have something *entirely* innocuous (so, "isn't real, either" kinda defeats that purpose).
